EN 1.4439 Seamless Stainless Steel Tube Sch40S Sch80S Used In The Chemical

EN 1.4439 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel formulated for primary forming into wrought products. Cited properties are appropriate for the solution annealed (AT) condition. 1.4439 is the EN numeric designation for this material. X2CrNiMoN17-13-5 is the EN chemical designation.

It is a derivative and improved austenitic variant of the 316 and 317 steel grades, featuring higher Nickel, Molybdenum and Nitrogen content, which significantly increases the product's resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.

This material has a moderately low electrical conductivity among wrought austenitic stainless steels, with a moderately high embodied energy and base cost.
