Overview

1.4401 stainless steel tube is an austenitic stainless steel material. Due to the addition of Mo element, 1.4401 stainless steel has greatly improved its corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. The high temperature resistance can reach 1200-1300 degrees, and it can be used under harsh conditions.

The main uses of stainless steel 1.4401 are heat exchangers for pulp and paper-making equipment, dyeing equipment, film washing equipment, pipelines, and exterior materials for buildings in coastal areas. It is also used in the field of solenoid valves, mainly for housings, clamps, spheres, valve bodies, valve seats, nuts, valve stems, etc.

Application

Construction encasement, doors, windows and armatures, off-shore technology, cisterns and tubes for chemical tankers, production, warehousing and overland transport of chemicals, food and beverages. Due to the Mo-content, good resistance against media containing chlorides and non-oxidising acids. The resistance to intergranular corrosion is guaranteed for larger product thicknesses in the welded condition.
