How does the stainless steel bright tubing anneal?
A typical heat treatment process for 300 series austenitic stainless steel tubing is solution treatment. During the heating process, the carbide is dissolved into the austenitic stainless steel tubing, heated to 1050 ~ 1150 ° C, and then kept for a short period of time, the carbide can be dissolved in the austenite structure, and then rapidly cooled to below 350 ° C A supersaturated solid solution, that is, a uniform one-way austenite structure, can be obtained. The focus of this heat treatment process is to achieve rapid cooling, which requires a cooling rate of 55 ° C / s, and then quickly pass through the re-precipitation temperature zone (550 ~ 850 ° C) after solid solution of carbide. In addition, the holding time of the stainless steel tubing should be as short as possible, otherwise the grain will be coarse and affect the surface finish.
The 400 series ferritic stainless steel tubing has a relatively low heating temperature (about 900 °C), and a large degree of slow cooling is used to obtain annealed softened structure. Annealing methods for martensitic stainless steel pipes can also be treated by segmented quenching and tempering.
